Welcome to the Wellness section of my website. I am so glad that you’ve explored your way into this nook. It is my favorite part of the website. As you’ve seen in the introduction and other areas of the website – Mindfulness is my specialty. We will get into what Mindfulness is in more detail further down on this page. Along with Mindfulness comes a whole sense of wanting more well being in the body. This is the section of the website dedicated to assisting you on your mindfulness path as well as introducing you to other areas of whole body/energy wellness avenues.
What is mindfulness?? Mindfulness is achieved by focusing your awareness and energy on the present moment as opposed to the future or the past. This is achieved through exercises where you practice redirecting your mind to the task or experience at hand as opposed to the tasks or experiences of the past or future. The result is an ability to focus yourself and mind more effectively on your goals without becoming distracted. This is something that must be practiced regularly to feel the benefits. It is not a quick fix. It is a way of retraining your mind to be un-distracted. You have many years of distraction to un-distract so don’t get frustrated if this doesn’t help you in 1 weeks’ time. It will take longer than a week. It will take longer than 2 weeks. You may start to see some benefits after a few weeks. You will see most benefits after a few months of regular mindfulness practices. As stated above, this is not a quick fix, if that is what you are looking for then this is not for you. IF, however, you are interested in committing to working at becoming more mindful, more in tune with the moment, less distracted and more able to handle challenges, distractions and obstacles then Mindfulness is the way to go. Good things come to those who persist not those who take the easiest route.

Please keep in mind that each person is different, and I am not saying that these are the only good meditations or yoga practices available. These are just a few of my favorites.
